Building Research Collaboration on Citizen Participation and Social Change

You are invited to attend a public symposium on the launch of a new global
research partnership, the Collaboration for Research on Democracy (CORD)

The new research network is being developed at a workshop hosted by the
IDS program at UTSC from May 21st-23rd. Funded by the IDRC, participants
include over twenty researchers and practitioners from Bangladesh, Brazil,
Egypt, India, South Africa, the UK and Canada.

At this public symposium, on the last day of the workshop, participants
will talk about their current research projects, CORD¹s global research
agenda, and plans for building engagements between researchers and
practitioners.

Researchers, students,and anyone interested in citizen participation,
democracy and pro-poor social change should attend this event.
